PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Headley is a skilled Licensed General Contractor with over 30 years of comprehensive construction management and inspection experience. He has a unique background in that he has worked in a variety of building types. This has ranged from Residential Housing to Industrial to hotels and other Commercial development.
Mr. Headley has experience ensuring that the Quality Control / Assurance program is effectively being implemented. This includes oversight or interaction with Material Testing / Special Inspectors and the interface with Superintendent and Sub Trade Foremen. As a Licensed General Contractor, he is experienced in the Construction practices and therefore capable of anticipating the sequencing of the job. His Certifications by the International Code Conference in the areas of Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems gives him a unique level of experience in the area of Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
Mr. Headley has experience managing trades and sub-contractors and understands the limitations and proper means of achieving quality construction from them. This starts with submittals and travels through the fabrication, delivery, and installation process, which he knows so well.
Mr. Headley has and does act as a Safety Director. This experience provides his clients with his expertise in safety monitoring and accident avoidance.
RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE
SUN CITY HILTON HEAD, Bluffton, South Carolina Construction Manager interfacing with land developer on issues such as grading, storm sewer installation and utilities installation. Supervised construction of apartments and condominiums. Supervised new superintendents to insure their understanding and adherence. Project included a 400 Home development including two magnificent golf courses, two fitness centers, four swimming pools, tennis courts, a softball field, walking trails, a sports complex, arts and crafts center, performing arts theater, and more than 100 ongoing clubs and classes. At the heart of Sun City is the Village Center Recreation Campus. This multi-building complex resembles a southern town square complete with a clock tower, providing a wonderful blend of old-world charm with state-of-the-art amenities. Great resources include a variety of learning facilities and a multimedia business center. Park features included Green belts, Dog Park, Playground, Picnic areas, and Gazebo.
Jekyll Island Convention Center & Beach Village; Senior QA/QC Inspector of a 128,000 GSF state of the art new Convention Center located on Jekyll Island. Includes a 45,000 SF Ballroom, and 16 Meeting rooms. Services include interacting with the Private Developers whom will be constructing a new 200 Bed 4 Star Hotel, 134 Bed 3 Star Hotel and a Beach Village and Retail Center.
Northwest Arkansas Sport, Entertainment and Leisure Development, Rogers Arkansas, Construction Manager – for a proposed $650 million development to include a 12,000 Seat, 300,000 SF facility suitable for sports and popular entertainment events. 450,000 SF Conference and Exhibition Facility with Exhibit Space and breakout meeting rooms, a 2,200 Seat Performing Arts Center and a 25 acre Entertainment and Retail District including a Festival Plaza and 3,500 seat Amphitheater.
CONERSTONE VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER, Dacula, Georgia Construction Manager interfacing with land developer on issues such as grading, storm sewer installation and utilities installation. Supervised construction of a 41,000 Gross Square Foot development.
BEST WESTERN HOTEL, Conyers, Georgia, General Contractor of a four-story hotel on highway 138 in Conyers, GA. Hotel has indoor pool and fitness center. Facility has 300 quest rooms, 3000 sf. of meeting rooms and upgraded landscaping. Project cost; $7 million
COOPER SIGNAGE AND GRAPHIC CORPORATE OFFCIE, Loganville, Georgia – General Contractor of a 12,000 sf. Corporate office and warehouse built for production printing and signage purposes. Project cost; $2 million.
Macon E. Gooch, III Building Consultants – Engineering Inspector of foundations, footings, slabs, walls, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, as well as, the proper reporting to the respective counties and/or municipalities. Training has included assisting in the resolution of problems in the field and working with erosion and sedimentation control
INTERNATIONAL PAPER PLANT, Savannah, Georgia – CONSRUCTION ENGINEER, large power boiler #913 and large paper machine installation. Budget for projects together was $750 million dollars. Included installation of large power boiler for electric generation purposes and large paper machine installation. Project included heavy civil construction and complex mechanical, electrical and piping system installation.
GEORGIA PACIFIC CORPORATION, Brunswick, Georgia – Project Manager / Estimator, plant conversion of chemical byproduct system to # 316 stainless equipment. Plant is part of the Georgia Pacific Corporation a maker of chemicals and building products. Project cost; $100 million.
PLANT VOGTLE NUCLEAR PLANT, Construction Engineer of an Electric generating facility costing in excess of $9 billion dollars. Facility has unsurpassed site work including storm water, sanitary sewer, cooling water lines cooling towers, grading and heavy civil steel and concrete work. Facility includes heavy civil structural steel, structural concrete and complex mechanical electrical and HVAC systems along with advanced life safety systems required by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
